There are a few things that got me on the right track and keep me on the right track to this day. I’ll try to split them up over two or three posts.

· “Deny yourself, Take up your cross and Follow Me”
· Bible Reading and Bible Study.
· The Power of Prayer

“What is God’s will for my life?” Many Christians, maybe most Christians, wrestle with that question. I think, as Christians, we WANT to serve God. We WANT to follow Him, but we have no idea what that looks like. “Where do I start? IT HAS TO BE MORE THAN GOING TO CHURCH!”

And he said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it.” Luke 9:23,24

This is what that scripture is saying.

If you want to be where He is,
If you want to be with Him,
If you want to walk with Him,
If you want to live in His presence,

You must deny yourself and take up your cross daily.

To deny yourself means, that out of the deepest love, you surrender your life to Christ. His will be done, not yours. You no longer live your life the way YOU want to, rather, how He wants you to. You give up your right to do with your time, your money, your thoughts, your mouth, as you please.

“Soooooo, practically, HOW do you do I do that???”

Until tomorrow

Teaching my 8 kids that kindness is a superpower, the most important things aren’t things, books will change your life, not everyone will like you and that’s ok
